It is with deepest sympathy that we inform you of the passing of Brother Charlie Baez, Sr. Charlie was a long-time member of Local 710, having worked as a driver under the National Master Freight Agreement for over 30 years with Signal Transport and Yellow Freight. He also worked as a Business Agent for the Local for 8 years. Prior to joining the Teamsters, Charlie also served in the US Army in the early 70’s. He will be remembered as a passionate member of the Union, having instilled that passion to his son, Brother Chuck Baez, Jr., who is a long standing Steward at Cassens Transport. We kindly ask that you keep the Baez family, as well as our Brothers and Sisters who worked alongside Charlie in your thoughts and prayers during this time.

Charles A. Baez, age 71, US Army Veteran, beloved husband of the late Deborah R. (nee Binder); loving father of Charles A. (Nell) Baez Jr., Joesph A. (Julie) Baez and the late Kimberly R. Baez; cherished grandfather of Danny, Vinny, Nicholas, Abby, Emma, Emily, Kendall and Anabella; dear brother, nephew, uncle, cousin and friend to many. Chuck was a retired Teamsters Local 710 business agent and driver. He was a long-standing member of the American Legion and St. George Parish.
