Teamsters Local 710 Remembers Brother Sid Clark

Local 710 is deeply saddened to inform you of the passing of Sidney Alan Clark. Brother Clark was a long-time Union member for nearly 50 years with both Central States Local 150 and Teamsters Local 710. He started as a Road Driver with Roadway in Chicago Heights and retired after nearly 23 years as a 710 member in 2021. He actually met his wife, Virginia, at Roadway, and they drove together as a team. Before joining the Union, he served in the United States Army and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for valor in combat.
Sid loved being a driver, and he would still be driving to this day if he could have. He drove over two million miles without an accident – which is like driving to the moon and back more than eight times. He was the type of guy who would give you the shirt off his back even though he needed it, too, and was always great to talk with. His passing will leave an empty space in the world and in the lives of everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. We ask that you keep Brother Sid, Sister Virginia, and his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
