Re:             2023 Officers Election Post-Election Protest

It has been brought to our attention that a post-election protest has been filed challenging the Officers Election conducted on October 20, 2023.

In accordance with Article XXII, Section 5(b) of the IBT Constitution, the protest was timely filed with Joint Council 25 Secretary-Treasurer James T. Glimco, with a copy sent to Election Monitor Maralin Falik of Global Election Services. Under the rules set forth in the Constitution, the Joint Council Executive Board will conduct a hearing and issue a decision on the protest. That decision can be appealed to the General Executive Board of the IBT.

2,912 valid ballots were cast in the election, plus 92 additional valid ballots that were challenged by the TNT Truth and Transparency Slate prior to the count and tabulated separately. The members voted by an approximate three-to-one margin in favor of the 710 Members First Slate.

The results of the election cannot be formally certified until the post-election appeal process has been exhausted. We will keep the members apprised of the situation as it progresses.

Fraternally,
The Local 710 Executive Board
