Re: Sale of UPS Freight
Brothers and Sisters:
As you have seen, UPS is in the process of selling UPS Freight to TFI International, Inc., which is a logistics company based in Montreal, Quebec. There are still a lot of questions that need to be answered, and we will continue to follow up as we learn more.
As a Union member, the terms and conditions of your contract, including your pay and healthcare, will stay the same. Your Local 710 Business Agents and Stewards will continue to represent you.
The transition process for the employer still has some standard regulatory conditions and approvals to go through. We will keep you updated as the situation progresses and we have more complete information. If you have any questions, please see the attached “Frequently Asked Questions” or contact your Business Agents. You may also login to your UPS account to view updates and news from the Company.
Fraternally,
Michael J. Cales
Secretary-Treasurer
