What should I do if I didn’t receive my ballot yet?

Members who do not receive a ballot in the mail by September 24, 2020, may request a replacement ballot be sent to them. Members can telephone Global Election Services at 1-800-864-1263, Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. CT from September 24, 2020 until 12 Noon on October 9, 2020 to request a duplicate ballot., The member must call personally and will receive a confirmation number.

I marked my vote! Now what?

Do not tear off any portion of the ballot. Place your voted ballot inside the Secret Ballot Envelope and seal. Place the Secret Ballot Envelope inside the Business Reply Envelope and seal. You must use the envelope provided.

I made a mistake on my ballot. What should I do?

If you make a mistake, you may use ‘white-out’ or completely cross out the error and clearly mark and indicate your corrected choice. DO NOT PLACE YOUR NAME, INITIALS OR ANY IDENTIFYING MARK ON THE BALLOT OR THE SECRET BALLOT ENVELOPE. In addition, you may request a replacement ballot by calling Global Election Services, 1-800-864-1263 or emailing helpdesk@voteges.com Mon-Fri 9am—5pm CT from September 24—October 9, 2020. Each member must call directly and will receive a confirmation number for his/her fulfilled request.

My name is on the return envelope. How is my vote kept secret?

Your ballot will be VOID if you mutilate or remove the information bearing your name and address on the Business Reply Envelope. After your name is checked against the control list determining eligibility to vote, the Secret Ballot Envelope is removed and mixed with the other Secret Ballot Envelopes. No one will know the identity of the voter whose ballot is contained in the Secret Ballot Envelope.

I requested a duplicate ballot, but I just received my original ballot. Which ballot should I use to vote?

A member may vote using either their original or duplicate ballot, and mail it back. If a member votes and mails back both the original and the duplicate, the ballot marked “duplicate” will be the one that is counted.

Who is eligible to vote?

In order to vote in the election, a member must be in good standing and have paid his/her dues through September 2020. Members may pay all dues arrearages, initiation or reinstatement fees, at the Local 710 main office until 4:30 PM on October 16, 2020.
