Local 710 Remembers Brother Robert Eastling
Retired Line Haul Driver with YRC
Teamsters Local 710 is deeply saddened by the loss of Robert Eastling. On June 17, 2020, Brother Eastling passed away after a courageous battle with cancer. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was married to his wife, Melody, for 33 years.
Brother Eastling was a long-time line haul driver with YRC who retired in April of 2011 and eventually moved from Indiana to Tennessee. He served as a Union Steward and was known around the 309 barn as the “Wagon Master.” He was a dedicated Teamster and a true mentor and role model to so many of our Local 710 drivers.
He will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of working with him, learning from him, and just simply knowing him. Our deepest thoughts and prayers go out to Brother Eastling, his entire family, and all of his friends. May he rest peacefully.
A celebration of Brother Eastling’s life was held on Saturday, June 27, 2020.
