Teamsters Local 710 Announces New Scholarship Fund
Applications for Academic and Training & Vocational Scholarships Are Being Accepted Now
Congratulations to the High School Class of 2020!
Our seniors have missed out on so many of the things that make senior year a true celebration of commitment to their education over the years. That is why I’m happy to announce that we are launching our Local 710 Scholarship starting with this graduating class of 2020. While so many families are experiencing the financial burdens brought on by this pandemic, it is our hope that offering this scholarship can help alleviate that for our brothers and sisters who are facing the challenges of paying for college in the fall.
We will be accepting applications through June 30, 2020. Applicants must be the dependent of a Local 710 member in good standing, though we will take any lapses in active membership status due to the pandemic into consideration. Applicants must also be pursuing a degree at an accredited institution or vocational or apprenticeship program and will need to complete the application, submit an essay of at least 500 words, and have their parents or legal guardians verify their membership with 710. Complete information on the eligibility requirements and the application process are available here.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the hall or email scholarship@teamsters710.org.
