Retiree Spotlight: Local 710 YRC Road Driver Juan Hardin Retires After More Than 30 Years
Long Distance Driver Kicks off Retirement With Relaxing Road Trip

Teamsters Local 710 member Juan Hardin served as a proud Teamster for more than three decades as a road driver for Roadway and YRC. The Wisconsin resident spent his career hauling freight out of the Wheeling, Ill. terminal across multiple states on each run. Now, he’s enjoying a well-deserved retirement, relaxing and spending time with his family.

“I want to thank my Business Agent, Mike Cales, and the staff at the Local 710 Health, Welfare and Pension departments for making my transition from driver to retirement easy,” said Hardin. “Thank you all for keeping Local 710 one of the strongest Teamster locals in the nation!”
Hardin has been making the most of retirement already, though he hasn’t stopped his long distance driving just yet. He’s been enjoying road trips with his wife to take in the sights while visiting friends and family across the country.
On behalf of everyone at Local 710, we wish Juan and his family health and happiness throughout retirement. His passion and commitment has inspired his fellow drivers at YRC, and
he is a prime example to all union members of what it means to be a Teamster.
