JRHMSF.org | Last year, the James R. Hoffa Memorial Scholarship Fund distributed $1.2 million in scholarship awards to the sons and daughters of Teamsters in the U.S. and Canada. This year, 2017, the Fund is committed to distributing $1.4 million, an increase of $200,000. We appreciate the support of our local unions and joint councils who have kept this scholarship the strongest in the labor movement.

In addition, we have initiated a Training and Vocational Programs Scholarship. Similar to the Academic Scholarship, applicants must be the son, daughter or financial dependent of a Teamster member (including BLET, BMWED and GCC members). The training and vocational programs must be related to work in a Teamster-represented industry, class or craft.

DEADLINE for receipt of scholarship applications is Friday, March 31, 2017, 5:00 pm, EST. (NO EXCEPTIONS).

If you have any questions about the application, please contact your Local 710 Business Agent, or call the JRHMSF Administrative Manager at (202) 624-8735 or by email at scholarship@teamster.org.

Please provide enough time for your Local Union, System Federation or BLET National Division to receive and complete the membership verification form. If the above institutions are unable to verify membership due to time constraints, please send your application straight to the Scholarship Office and we will provide membership verification.
