Local 710 YRC Workers Unanimously Ratify New Contract
Maintenance and Custodial Teamsters Secure Improved Wages, Benefits
Maintenance and custodial workers at YRC Freight represented by Teamsters Local 710 have unanimously ratified a new four-year agreement.
Members will receive wage increases of 33 cents per hour in each of the final three years of the agreement, which would retroactively begin April 1, 2016. Teamsters will receive back pay from that point, in addition to $750 signing bonuses. The Local 710 Bargaining Committee fought to maintain vacation time for each member at 50 hours.
Negotiations went smoothly thanks to the dedication of Local 710 Steward Jim Golembieski. We held firm on all issues the members told us were most important to them,
which allowed us to bring a contract to vote that each worker was proud to ratify.
