Local 710 Retains Business at Cassen’s Aurora, Protects Fourty Jobs
A Letter From Local 710 Business Agent Anthony Lamy
April 8, 2016
ALL CASSENS’ DRIVERS ON THE AURORA SENIORITY BOARD
ATTENTION MEMBERS:
In spite of Cassen’s request for a pay reduction for all loads from the Elwood Rail Facility of 4.9%, we retained the business.
The Hyundai/Kia traffic was up for bid and Cassen’s was successful in winning over our non-union competition without the 4.9% give back.
Failure to keep this traffic would have resulted in about a 40 driver layoff.
CONGRATULATIONS AURORA DRIVERS!
In Solidarity,
Anthony Lamy
Local 710 Business Agent
