Local 710 Begins Contract Negotiations with Jewel
Teamsters Exchange Initial Proposals for Warehouse and Driver Contracts
The Teamsters Local 710 bargaining committee met today with Jewel for negotiations at Joint Council 25 in Park Ridge, Ill. for initial proposals.
Trustee of Local 710 John T. Coli began the session by communicating to the employer that all information and issues discussed in every session will be disseminated to the membership.
We will have 100 percent transparency with the membership throughout negotiations.
It is important for us on the bargaining committee to bring all information and documentation back to the membership and hear their response. We want our members to have a real voice in their new contract.
John T. Coli
Trustee of Local 710
The company chairman Dan Dosenbach gave some opening remarks providing a look on the improved state of the company since 2013 when new ownership began.
Local 710 provided two summaries of proposals for the drivers and dispatchers contract and warehouse contract. The employer provided initial proposals for the two contracts as well. All of these documents are available to download at the links below.
The deadline for the submission of proposals is Friday, by 10:00 a.m. Please contact your Business Agent or any member of the bargaining committee with any proposals or questions you may have regarding negotiations.
Bargaining updates will be posted after each negotiating session. If any Jewel members would like to have these updates sent directly to your inbox, please signup to receive email newsletters below.
