National Carhaul Negotiating Parties Return to Bargaining Table

Teamsters, Employer Group to Continue Negotiations in Early December

The Teamsters National Automobile Transporters Negotiating Committee (TNATINC) met with the National Automobile Transporters Labor Division on November 16–18 to resume negotiations after the tentative agreement proposed at the end of September was rejected.

Local Teamster unions, including Local 710, met to discuss various issues with the national agreement and two supplemental agreements that members overwhelmingly voted to reject. These issues have been brought to the table to be discussed with the employer group, and TNATINC provided a formal proposal addressing members’ concerns.

“We’re hoping wrap up negotiations as soon as possible. The Teamsters are working extremely hard to satisfy members’ concerns, particularly those regarding pay structure.”

Anthony Lamy, Local 710 Carhaul Business Agent and member of the National Auto Transporters Negotiating Committee.

Teamsters will return to the bargaining table December 7–9 to continue negotiations. In the meantime, all carhaulers should continue work as usual. For questions, please contact Anthony Lamy at (773) 254-3200.

Teamsters Local 710 is an affiliate of Teamsters Joint Council 25, America’s premier labor union for Chicago, Illinois and northwest Indiana.
