Teamsters Local 710 representatives met June 22 and July 6 to discuss initial proposals for the new Heritage Wine contract.

Local 710 represents 26 warehouse dockmen and delivery drivers who work out of Heritage Wine’s Niles facility, handling the distribution of wine and spirits to customers across Illinois. The bargaining committee of union representatives and attorneys addressed several key issues, including:

  • Overtime
  • Contract language pertaining to work schedules
  • Employer contributions to retirement funds
  • Additional member benefits

“As negotiations begin with Heritage Wine, Local 710 is fully prepared to bargain a strong new Teamster contract,” said John T. Coli, Trustee of Local 710. “Focusing on issues such as work schedules and retirement benefits will lead to a contract that really supports our hardworking members.”

Any outstanding questions should be directed to Local 710 Business Agent Roger Kelley at (773) 254-3200.

Negotiations will continue on July 24 at Heritage Wine’s facility. All Heritage Wine Teamsters will be kept up-to-date as negotiations progress.
