Chicago Teamsters at Industrial Pipe Ratify New Contract
Local 710 Members Secure Wage Increases With Three-Year Agreement
Thirteen members of Teamsters Local 710 established higher wages this month after unanimously ratifying a new three-year contract with Industrial Pipe & Supply Company.
The Chicago-area Teamsters, who work out of Industrial Pipe’s production and warehouse facility in Cicero, manufacture and distribute pipes, valves, fittings and industrial supplies used in public utilities, aviation, water treatment and processing plants. Their latest Teamster contract guarantees wage increases of $1 per hour, with the opportunity to reopen salary negotiations after the first year.
“Our members at Industrial Pipe are hardworking manufacturers, pipe threaders and distribution drivers who know the value of an honest day’s labor,” said John T. Coli, Trustee of Local 710. “The Teamsters Union is proud to see these workers stick together and ratify a strong contract that honors all that they do for their employer.”
The new wage increases are retroactive to February 1. The agreement also includes a $200 signing bonus for all Local 710 members.
Teamsters Local 710 is an affiliate of Teamsters Joint Council 25, America’s premier labor union for Chicago, Illinois and northwest Indiana.
