Local 710 Talks DRIVE at UPS Indiana Facilities

logo-teamster-driveTeamsters Local 710 members working at UPS facilities across Indiana have the opportunity this week to learn more about the union’s DRIVE political action committee.

DRIVE, or Democrat, Republican, Independent Voter Education, is a volunteer fund for Teamsters who want to get more involved in the political process and support labor-friendly candidates. DRIVE contributions directly facilitate grassroots action across every level of the Teamsters Union to effectively fight anti-union interests in state government, Big Business and Washington, D.C.

Voluntary DRIVE contributions from hardworking Teamsters support voter registration efforts and financial assistance for candidates who stand up for everyday families regardless of political party affiliation.

This week, Local 710 UPS Business Agent Ron Dillon and Teamsters International DRIVE Representative Bob Trappe will be on-hand at five UPS locations in Indiana to further discuss the benefits of DRIVE membership.

Dillon and Trappe will be visiting the following UPS facilities:

  • Tuesday, March 24 — South Bend and Elkhart, Indiana
  • Wednesday, March 25 — Fort Wayne, Indiana
  • Thursday, March 26 — Kokomo and Lafayette, Indiana

To learn more about DRIVE, visit Teamster.org or TeamstersJC25.com. Members also can contact their UPS agents directly at the Local 710 union hall at (773) 254-3200.
