NOTICE OF ELECTION – LOCAL UNION 710 IBT

A secret mail ballot election is being held for 17 delegates and 17 alternates to the 2026 IBT Convention. When you receive your ballot, vote for no more than 17 candidates for delegate, and no more than 17 candidates for alternate. To vote, place a mark in the box to the left of the candidate(s) or slate of your choice.

INSTRUCTIONS TO VOTER

1. Vote for no more than 17 delegate candidates and no more than 17 alternate delegate candidates
2. You may vote for a full slate.
3. You may vote for a partial slate plus additional candidates, whether or not on a slate, so long as the total number of delegate and alternate delegate candidate votes does not exceed the total to be elected.
4. Instead of voting for any slate or partial slate, you may vote for individual candidates, whether or not on a slate, so long as the total number of delegate and alternate delegate candidate votes does not exceed the total to be elected.
5. By placing a mark in the slate box (or circle), you will have voted for all the individual candidates on that slate. If you mark a slate box (or circle) and also vote for other candidates so that the total of your votes is more than the total number of positions to be elected, only your slate vote will be counted. If you vote for two or more slates so that the total of your votes for slate members is more than the total number of positions to be elected your vote will not be counted for any candidate running for that position.

After voting, fold the ballot (do not tear off any portion) and insert the ballot into the envelope marked “Secret Ballot Envelope.” Seal the secret ballot envelope. Do not put any identifiable marks on the secret ballot envelope. Use of this envelope ensures the confidentiality of your vote.

Place the sealed Secret Ballot Envelope in the return envelope, seal and mail the return envelope. Postage is already provided. Do not remove or deface the mailing label which contains your name and address. This label must be visible for your vote to be counted.

ONLY BALLOTS RETURNED BY U.S. MAIL TO THE P.O. BOX BY 9:00 A.M. ON MARCH 18, 2026, WILL BE COUNTED.

You should receive your ballot package by FEBRUARY 23, 2026. If you have not received a ballot by then, or if you make a mistake on your ballot or lose your ballot, or need any materials which accompanied your ballot, you may request a duplicate by contacting GLOBAL ELECTION SERVICES at:

No person or entity shall limit or interfere with the right of any IBT member to vote, including, but not necessarily limited to, the right to independently determine how to cast his or her ballot, the right to mark his/her ballot in secret and the right to mail the ballot himself/herself. No person or entity may encourage or require an IBT member to mark his/her ballot in the presence of another person or to give his/her ballot to any person or entity for marking or mailing. Any violation of this rule may result in the disqualification of a candidate who benefits from the violation, in imposition of criminal penalties under federal law and/or other consequence or remedy.

AVISO DE ELECCIÓN – SINDICATO LOCAL 710 IBT

Se está celebrando una elección secreta por correo para 17 delegados y 17 delegados suplentes al Congreso 2026 de IBT. Cuando reciba su papeleta de voto, no vote por más de 17 candidatos a delegado, y por no más de 17 candidatos a delegado suplente. Para votar, marque la casilla a la izquierda del o de los candidato(s), o de la lista de candidatos de su elección.

INSTRUCCIONES PARA EL VOTANTE:

1. Vote para no más de 17 candidatos a delegado y no más de 17 candidatos a delegado suplente
2. Puede votar por una lista completa.
3. Puede votar por una lista parcial más candidatos adicionales, formen o no parte de la lista, siempre que el número total de candidatos a delegado y a delegado suplente no exceda el total de candidatos a elegir.
4. En vez de votar por una lista o por una lista parcial, puede votar por candidatos individuales, formen o no parte de la lista, siempre que el número total de candidatos a delegado y a delegado suplente no exceda el total de candidatos a elegir.
5. Una marca en la casilla (o círculo) de la lista representa su voto por todos los candidatos individuales de dicha lista. Si marca una casilla (o círculo) y también vota por otros candidatos, de modo que el número total de sus votos excede el número total de puestos a elegir, solo se contará su voto por la lista. Si vota por dos o más listas, de modo que el número total de votos por lista es mayor al número total de puestos a elegir, su voto no será contado para ningún candidato en ese puesto.

Después de votar, pliegue la papeleta de voto (no arranque ninguna parte) y ponga la papeleta de voto en el sobre marcado “Sobre de voto secreto”. Selle el sobre de voto secreto. No ponga ninguna marca de identificación en el sobre de voto secreto. Este sobre certifica la confidencialidad de su voto.

Ponga el sobre de voto secreto dentro del sobre de respuesta, cierre el segundo sobre y envíelo por correo. Los gastos de franqueo ya están pagados. No quite ni tache la etiqueta de correo que lleva su nombre y su dirección. Esta etiqueta debe estar visible para que se pueda contar su voto.

SOLAMENTE SE CONTARÁN LAS PAPELETAS DE VOTO ENVIADOS POR CORREO DE LOS ESTADOS UNIDOS A LA CASILLA POSTAL (P.O. BOX) NO MÁS TARDE A LAS 9:00 DE LA MAÑANA EL 18 de MARZO.

Debería recibir su paquete de papeleta de voto no más tarde el 23 de febrero. Si no ha recibido su papeleta de voto en esta fecha, o si ha hecho un error en la papeleta de voto o que la ha perdido, o si necesita cualquier instrumento que estuvo incluido con su papeleta de voto, puede solicitar una copia comunicándose con su sindicato local a la dirección siguiente:

Ninguna persona o entidad podrá limitar o interferir con el derecho a votar de cualquier miembro de IBT, inclusive, pero sin limitarse, el derecho a determina en forma autónoma cómo votar, el derecho a marcar su voto en secreto y el derecho a enviar por su propia cuenta su papeleta de voto por correo. Ninguna persona o entidad podrá recomendar o exigir que un miembro de IBT marque su papeleta de voto en presencia de otra persona o que entregue su papeleta de voto a otra persona para que lo marque o que lo envíe. Toda infracción de esta regla resultará en la suspensión del candidato que se beneficie de dicha infracción, la imposición de sanciones penales criminales conforme a la ley federal y/u otra consecuencia o remedio.
