Re: State of the Local

Dear Brother and Sister Members,

Labor in general across the country is going through some very rough times, but I would like to assure you that everything at Local 710 is operating smoothly and has not changed.

We are continuing to surge forward as we prepare for the upcoming elections for your new Executive Board this fall. Our primary focus has been and will continue to be providing the best representation and service to all members of this great local.

The challenging financial situation of the local still looms, but we are working diligently day-to-day to gain more stability for when it is returned to the members.

We have numerous contracts expiring over the next year, and we are preparing for those negotiations so we can meet the employers head on. Your Business Agents need to hear from you. Please submit your suggestions and proposals to them when they visit, as they hold upcoming proposal meetings or by contacting them directly.

Local 710 is a strong local, and we are dedicated to fight tirelessly for the members through representing our members, enforcing your contracts and protecting your rights.

Our door is always open and we are ready to answer your calls. Please feel free to contact us anytime with questions and/or suggestions.

Together, we will move mountains.
