Teamsters Local 710 Remembers Brother James E. Lewis

Our Local is deeply saddened by the passing of James Lewis. Brother Lewis always put others ahead of himself and was fiercely devoted to his family. He was a longtime dockworker at ABF in Sauk Village and grew close with many fellow members. Local 710 has lost someone very near and dear to our hearts, and our thoughts and prayers are with Jimmy and his family and friends during this difficult time.

Obituary

The man, the myth, the legend – the last of a dying breed and a genuinely kindhearted guy who cared for others more than himself. Loved by many, missed by all, and always comfortable in his pajama pants and Crocs.

In his words, “I’ll be back, nanu-nanu.” Until we see you again, don’t step in it!

Memorial contributions in memory of James may be given to his family to help with medical bills and/or excess contributions will be given to the Colorectal Cancer Alliance, “In Memory of James Lewis.” 1025 Vermont Ave NW, Suite 1066, Washington DC 20005. ccalliance.org
