Golden State Food Teamsters to Vote New Contract Today

Local 710 Warehouse Workers Stand Firm for a Strong Contract

Seventy-six Teamsters Local 710 warehouse workers at Golden State Foods will vote their next contract today. This is the second offer that has been put to a vote.

After the Local 710 Bargaining Committee did not recommend the Company’s last, best and final offer, the membership stood united and almost unanimously voted down the offer 65-1 on February 3. The committee returned to the table on February 11 to resolve the issues that caused the rejection. Concerns that were brought to the committee were addressed and rectified.

This hardworking committee has made huge strides with many issues from the Company’s previous offer. They did not back down at the bargaining table and stood firm for the entire membership, which truly shows in the contract they are voting today.
