Nine delivery drivers and 12 warehouse workers recently ratified separate three-year agreements with H.P. Products/Logistics, securing higher wages and increases to pension contributions.

Teamsters will receive wage increases of 60 cents per hour for the first year of each new contract, followed by 50 cents per hour for the second year and 40 cents per hour for the third. Additionally, members will receive a 30 percent increase in credit union contributions to their pensions. Health and welfare benefits are protected as well, maintaining previous contract language.

“Our members at H.P. Products/Logistics knew exactly what they wanted in their new Teamster contracts, and they stuck together to make it a reality,” said John T. Coli, Trustee of Local 710. “We are truly proud of these hardworking Teamsters and applaud their strong work ethic.”

Delivery drivers also bargained for several improvements to their working conditions and unanimously ratified the new agreement. Warehouse workers won a 20-cent increase in night differential pay for workdays beginning at or after 3 p.m.

Both Local 710 bargaining units work out of Alsip, Ill., distributing a variety of facility maintenance products to supply offices, hospitals and other businesses.
